The mission of Sacred Heart Community Service is to build a community free from poverty by creating hope, opportunity and action. This school year 3,800 students from the local community will come to Sacred Heart to choose a new backpack and school supplies. The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted low-income and communities of color. Families have lost income and have had major challenges accessing remote learning opportunities. Prior to COVID-19, for families living in one the most expensive regions in the country meant a bulk of their paychecks went to rent, leaving little left for food, clothing, and utility expenses, let alone school supplies. Sacred Heart's Pack A Back campaign ensures students have the tools they need to succeed. Serving the Families of San Jose through Food, Clothing, Housing/Financial Assistance, and Social Justice.

Sacred Heart’s annual event provides backpacks and grade-level school supplies to thousands of local students. Help a student start the school year right, by donating to this fund. SH will use the dollars to purchase items supplies (for both teachers and students), pack, bundle, and distribute to over 3800 schoolkids in need. Every dollar donated will be matched by Cisco!
